Tiger LD 12,5mm shaft. Latest model.

Does anyone use this shaft?
Not easy finding any good info on this shaft.
Does it really have lower deflection than a standard maple shaft?
Hit quality and taper, hard soft medium?
Not looking for extreme LD, the hit quality is the priority.
But a little bit less deflection than regular mid priced maple is ok.

Never hit one but they have a lot of satisfied users. Tiger makes good stuff. I'd call them and get the lo-down straight from them.

I have one in my case I believe. I think it's a radial joint, 12.75mm tip. I don't have any radial pin cues anymore, but I do remember liking the taper, and "feel" of the shaft.
👍

Think this is about the old models. The new models, Tiger LD 12,5mm, has solid maple core now instead of lightweight wood.

They have to lighten the front end somehow. They either have to use some sort of polymer ala Predator or use lighter wood like Meucci. I just msg'd them and asked. See what they say.

I just answered my question. It says right on their shaft page that they use balsa in the LD shafts. That makes sense. Probably get a better hit feel than with a foam insert.
