Butt refinish

I have a cue butt that needs a refinish.
It currently has an Irish linen wrap on it.
I don't like the feel of the Irish linen.
What options do I have?
Could I have it 'meuccified' with the clearcoat over the linen?
Could I have the linen removed and replaced with a dyed resin, then clearcoated?
Are there any other options?

Yes, it can be done like a Meucci.

Leather or stacked leather is a huge improvement over linen and an easy upgrade.

i have refinished over wray, as long as the wrap is in good shape, using west system the butt turned out fantastic
