IMO,
"You will be getting an excellent quality, excellent performing cue,
no matter which of the 3 you listed.
These guys very solid , well-respected for their cues , building, performing, workmanship.

I like the low key ringwork on Cory Barnhart's cues.
I'd would get a basic Merry Widow.

I agree with the Barnhart ring work. Ive seen a bunch of Carmelis and the dash deco rings look like the same as what you see on $100 cues in bar display cases

a little late, but I have a Carmeli and a Pierce (both 6 point cues with wraps) and I've hit Barnhart, summaries below:

• Carmeli: "softest / purest" hit of the 3, like a forged golf iron with lots of feedback, most forward weighted of the 3
• Barnhart: firmest hit of the 3, great merry widow builds, I like 3/8 x 10 pins over radial
• Pierce: in the middle, great build quality for the price, just behind Carmeli in hit and forward balance

all 3 cues and 6 shafts are 3/8 x10 in my bag, have a CF shaft but play with the original factory maple shafts 99% of the time

if its your playing cue , the one that hits the way you want, that is all that counts.

Few people get to hit these cues before buying. We need to rely on sage advice like yours.

show cues are one thing, but for me anyway my playing cues will always be cues i have already hit with and like the hit.

although most top makers will have a cue with a great hit, however that may not be your type of hit.

That is the most difficult part of buying a custom, Youre spending more of your hard earned cash on a cue that 90% of the time youre buying sight unseen other than pics and never hit a ball with it.

I've had several interactions with sellers where ive requested more pics of a cue thats over $1500 and they ask why, like im crazy for wanting to see more than 3 pics of something im spending decent money on.

because if you can sell all you can make, you don't want to deal with picky customers. that is human nature.

and time is money in business. not to a recreational buyer. that's why stores have a minimum wage person at the counter instead of a higher up dealing with small purchasers.
