Instroke (and similar) case tweak if you carry accessories

Last week I put together the following tweak setup so the top carry strap on my new Instroke 3x7 black vinyl case will not be exposed to excessive wear. I did this because I was starting to see wear on an older case (same brand and model) as I have a lightweight good sized locking carabiner, a golf towel and one or two cue balls that I usually carry with me.

Here are the required items you need (I got them from Amazon):
One quick screw silver carabiner connects through the shoulder strap mount and also holds one loop side of the steel cables (first picture). I then fed the steel cables through the outer top handle cover to the other side. Lastly, I used a larger locking carabiner (or you could use another quick screw connect silver carabiner) to hold your accessories like my towel and cue ball (second picture). This approach should only introduce wear (if any) to the outer vinyl part of the case's top handle and can easily be ordered directly from Instroke and replaced without any rivet or similar work being done as it is just Velcro holding it on.

I guess work is slow and I got bored plus didn't want to shred my case in just one area that would otherwise require removing rivets to repair the top handle before introducing my setup above...

Good tweak. I'm pretty lucky in that i have a good shoe/luggage repair guy that can fix about anything. Those carabiners come in handy. I've got 3 on my golf bag for towels-n-shit.
