Bullet Proof Polymer Tips

Here's a thread with all kinds of info for you.

I just had a Bulletproof Recoil tip installed last weekend, I have gravitated to hard tips so I went with the green one, the color is the same as the TAOM V10 chalk I use anyway, initial impressions are it feels like a normal hard tip but it holds chalk WAY better, I haven't had it on long enough but I haven't had to shape it and there is zero glazing, I love the hit of this tip and I am keeping it on, I replaced a Kamui Athlete Hard tip, I don't believe a tip will make you a better player but less tip maintenance is a nice plus.

Had the clear bulletproof on a break cue for a bit... it dents and mishapens pretty easily. Would not recommend that one. The others I am not familiar with.

A buddy has the blue tip installed on a Revo. I've shot it several times and it shoots and holds chalk well. Only thing I found with it was that you had to put a lot more effort into draws but it wasn't anything that couldn't be compensated for.

There a ton of people that have the break tips installed in the leagues around me. No complaints with those that I've ever heard outside of one flying off but I believe that wasn't installed properly to begin with.

Be careful I have seen people get injured from the recoil .... One guy didn't make it .... These tips should be discontinued for safety reasons and replaced with Royal oak

I have the Bulletproof clear break tips for over 3 years on 2 of my break cues and have never had an issue and still looks like the day I got them. I have just switched to the green (hard) recoil coming from the AIM Bulletproof multilayered tip. I have only played with it about a week, and it does take a little time to get used to. All good so far, feels more responsive, but I will have to report back after further use.

I have one of each hardness. I’ll be posting my thoughts in the coming weeks. I also bought the Bulletproof Carbon Fiber shaft.
Maybe it’s me but I can’t get used to these tips. I use a Revo 12.9 shaft with a Techno dud soft tip. My other CF shafts don’t feel as good to me as the Revo. I have a Rhino and Bulletproof CF shaft as well. I guess it’s like an old pair of shoes. I’m going to stick with the horse I rode in on. lol.

My only concern with tips like that is installation. I put tips on by hand and i wonder how tough it is to initial shaping of it
I do all mine by hand. It requires patience as I use the hard tips. Green. I installed a few of the clear break tips and they are like diamonds. Takes quite a while to get the shape you want. I have a 7" aluminum tip shaper impregnated with cutting teeth that does the trick. But it still takes time. Good things come to those, etc...

I have 2 of the break tips come off but you need to use different glue for these, CA type Super Glue (cyanaocrylate adhesive) there are several brands that are this type of super glue, the Bulletproof break tips are a polycarbonate and you will need this type of super glue and you will be good to go.
