I know that the joint is some kind of a Proprietary joint but is it a common thread?
Can an off the shelf LD shaft fit it?

You have a typo in your second sentence, so I’m not sure exactly what the question is. Gambler67 is a member here, he sells a lot of Pechauer stuff, he would know. Pechauer is great on customer service, you could contact them directly. I know you do have to be careful about mixing and matching.

Your fix is a little “off”
The thread I 5/16-14. It is modified in that there are no threads on the lower part of the pin. Off the shelf shaft can be easily modified to fit.
