If we’re talking players, I play mostly one pocket and a lot of good one pocket players I know learned how to play pool playing one pocket, like it was their day 1 game. They developed terrible technique because of the emphasis on slow spinning the cue ball where they want it to go and little emphasis on the long straight in shot. There are very very good one pocket players who won’t bet on themselves to make any kind of long shot

If we’re talking rooms, the tables are too damn close together
 
Whatever the flaw Lou is talking about, it's worldwide. People are the same everywhere. As the skill level gets higher, the flaws become both less in number and less in severity.
