You will see this kid later...

Wu Chia-Ching (Wu is the family name) was born on the 9th of February 1989 in Taiwan. In the 9 ball world he is known by the nick name: 'Taisun' or 'Little Genius'. From the age of 2, Wu was raised by his grandmother. Around the age of 10, he began playing 8 ball pool at the hall run by his family. As his game improved, his grandmother would ferry him from one competition to another on her scooter!

In the year 2004, he was the runner-up at the 2004 Junior 9 ball World Championship but then in 2005, Wu stunned the 9 ball world by becoming the youngest player ever to win the WPA World 9 ball Championship at the remarkable age of 16 years and 5 months. At the same Championships in the following year (2006), Wu was the top seed unfortunately however losing to Renato Alcano of the Philippines in the quarter-final.

Incredibly, also in 2005, Wu won the WPA World 8 ball Championship, and this made him the first person ever to hold both the World 9 ball and 8 ball WPA titles in the same year. In 2006, a remarkable change in appearance came over Wu when he managed to lose 27 kg in weight. He attributed this to a strict diet of vegetables, meat and the rice dish: congee helped along by a daily jog of between 2 and 4 km.
Achievements in 9 ball:

2002 Taiwan National Youth, Champion
2002 Taiwan National Pro Tour, 3rd place

I've always said, if the money gets real good, the High School kids will take over.

We also have showers and upstairs also room to almost 10 people to sleep. So you can live 24/7 in club some time if you want haha. Been there, done that..
We build everything from by ourselves. It was just empty old factory building. All tables you see is already paid and club have solid income and some savings. We started at 2018. Just 20+ guys who put all 300€ to get started.
So we created non profit organization that owns and manages everything and goal of it is making to people possible to have a hobby with reasonable costs and promoting all billiards. All money club makes goes to get as good playing conditions as we can. We have tournaments and club also provides support to those who compete. So we kinda own everything with big family.
If new member want to join everyone in club have to accept him/her. That way we want everyone is happy and no bad blood between members.

That is great! Thank you for sharing. I love this idea. Sounds a great setup for people to develop their pool skills.

My hope is this great game will ''have it'$ day''. When it gets away from the pure gambling and becomes a sport, it'll take young men and women and good parents to achieve this.

Yeah. I shared this also to maybe give people ideas and inspiration. I believe if more people do stuff like this in their cities they will create enviroment to new generation of pool billiards to thrive. If we did not make all this then we would not have 11 year old kid talent..
It all can start from anyone who put some love and effort the game we all love. That kid´s father is member of our club and he bring the kid to club 4 years ago.
I actually saved one video long time ago for father when boy played me first time. I uploaded that to youtube with hidden feature and sent link to his father. He said to me he watch that so many times :)
He was awesome even back then..

But but but can he beat Shane in a race to 100?
He moves around the table like a seasoned vet and knows the cue ball better than some people I see playing for 30 years.
Love to see the kids.

Nice shot at 6:40. No fear, no doubt.
... ala SVB. I like the shot in the first rack at 1:08: he stunned the cue ball over to the long rail with inside spin to go three rails to get position on a ball on the opposite long rail. The ball he was getting position on was 1/2 a ball off the rail, and he left the CB 1/2 a ball off the rail. Then he checked the slight angle into the pocket, and he hit a beautiful topspin shot to get position on the next ball.

I felt the same, watchin' Justin Bergman when he was 13-14 at the Jr. Nationals/Magoos early 2000.
