How Do You Get Out Here?

Yeah, low inside kills the cue ball. In humid conditions you want natural paths, right? I’m in the Midwest now and I’m not used to water in the air. Outside spin. Play with the thickness of the hit. Cue all path down the tangent line important

I wouldn’t go for the short side of the nine. Since there’s nothing in the way it’s a perfect 4 rail to the short rail on the long side of the nine. Just use a hall tip of right with speed, too much running English is not good since 3rd and 4th rails are both “long” and it will reverse if there’s any left at all

DCP here’s what I want you to do.

Just cut the eight into the side pocket with top and don’t use any right hand turn.

You want to err on the side of hitting the cue ball just left of dead 12 o’clock

Hit it firm with a bunch of top

Yep.

I think as long as you get back to somewhere near the end rail there'll be a makeable shot on the 9 (probably even if you hit it). I'd concentrate on the speed and spin to get the right distance.

Frankly, I think you could leave the cue ball anywhere in the lower half of the table (as we view it) and have a simple cut on the 9 to the top left corner.

You have 2 choices

a) top right, off side pocket long rail. off end rail, off side pocket long rail and down to the top side of the 9 (tricky)

b) draw right, off the side long rail, off the end rail, off the near long rail, lining up on the nine in the top corner.

I’d probably use right draw 3 rails and leave it between the diamonds before the side pocket. Would still have to make a shot on the nine but I think it’s the safest out.

If I’m playing it, it will be max right (3:00) to the short side and hope I don’t scratch. I’m assuming we’re playing on a 9ft, although just guessing, I would do the same on a barbox.

Bottom left on the cue ball. Bank 8 in the bottom right. CB comes off long rail headed for short rail on long side of 9.
If your answer here is to bank you have no business giving any instruction to anyone 😂 good lord I could tell by your posts your knowledge was limited but this basic position knowledge and no good player would bank from there including the best players in the world 😂

Basically, you play it 2-3 rails to get position on the 9.
How exactly depends on the cloth and cushions. But most likely a stun with right english will do the trick.
Draw might not grab in time on a new cloth.

All the obvious choices were taken. Might need a 2 rail bank to avoid the scratch.

Hit the cueball at 5 0’clock come in tight to the corner and end up where you started or even closer. If you can’t cut the nine from there we’ll.

You need some instruction if you’re considering the bank. They are the obvious choices because they are the correct ones.
I never said the obvious choices were not the correct ones.

Sometimes people go skiing down a mountain and feel like blazing a new trail. I don't try to insult them... I just imagine how well they must be able to bank.
