I think my point didn't come across correctly. I felt natural inlay cue butts would naturally have a mark up. So I was asking what the price point was. Products turned into luxury products doesn't really translate into price + cost of luxurious materials. Which is negligible increase in material cost, still the cost goes up 10 fold. So if I bought an inlay cue I think i would expect pay at least $200 dollars more even though the abalone only costed an extra 5 dollars.
Cartier charges at least 10x more per gram of gold in there products. Why anyone buys it when they can get the same amount of gold from Kay's for 10x cheaper? Is it the name, or craftsmanship and design? Is it so different with pool sticks?
So maybe Joss is the Cartier of Pool cues.
And Maybe Players and Action are the Kay Jewelers. I wonder if they have real inlays in their butts...
