Sound deadening or felt to quiet a Valley

I recently picked up a Valley Model 33 and while waiting on rails and Simonis I’m experimenting with some ideas I’ve read here to make it quieter. I’ve read use felt and EPDM rubber which I can’t find locally. I found this underlayment I might try (or the old felt)

Does anyone have any pictures to share of what they did and how? I have spray adhesive I might go to to avoid all of the staples scratching my new balls.

Thanks for the advice. I used 4mm Yoga mat from 5 Below, a little 3m spray adhesive and staples.

I have glued rubber inside, and anti vibration sheets glued under. From car audio, rubber with metal.

Great info. To me personally that 'Valley rattle' is music to my ears. So used to it i'd probably freak-out if i played a Valley that was quieted down.

Put some foam inside the cabinet. Some people have mentioned even using old blankets or sleeping bags.

Right? The goal on a Valley is to have no gaps in the ball return sound.

The goal was for the wife to not freak out when I play between 10pm and 7am.
