JFlowers cue questions

Is there anyone really familiar with JFlower cues? I have one from a customer that he wanted a joint pin change to a Unilock so I did my usual collet for the chuck and also a piece of stiff paper inside the collet to assure that I won't scratch or mar the Finish and when I released it from the chuck and removed the collet the paper was stuck to the finish and has marked it. I tried buffing it but it had no real effect . So my questions are what kind of finish do they use it and is it normally that soft? Next question is how do I know it's in an authentic Jflower cue? The only marking on it for JFlower is the bumper has it embedded in it, there is no JF initials on the butt. I do have a call in to JFlower and waiting for a call back

I have the same Jflowers cue, when it got delivered I also got a small paper (a "certificate") with a date and a serial number. If you call JFlowers they will probably ask for that number.
I'm not at all a cue maker.

Please look at these photos from JFlowers website regarding its JF20-20 butt. This is the closest I can find on their website as to your photos. Is this the butt you worked on? JFlowers describes JF20 as having a radial joint, a wrap, and
black‑painted maple with decorative wide brass inlay rings, a matching brass joint collar, and brass butt cup. The grip is a prolonged extended diamond‑pattern embossed leather—choose black for stealth or rust red for a bold pop.
