Four Pinoys will duke it out in the semifinals. Lead by two time All Japan winner Johann Chua, upstart Kyle Amoroto, dark horse Romnel Santos and the wily veteran Antonio “Nikoy” Lining.
 
Johann Chua edged out Rommel Santos in a double hill match, 11-10, to punch his ticket to the final. He’s seeking his 3rd All Japan title. Chua was trailing most of the way (6-9), but fought back to earn his spot against Kyle Amoroto, who was in a nip and tuck battle against wily veteran Antonio Lining. Kyle caught a gear in the end and ended Lining’s quest for a title, winning 11 ganes to 8.
 
Kyle Amoroto made some incredible shots to dominate Johann Chua, winning comfortably, 11 games to 5.
 
Well done and congratulations to Amoroto.
Too bad that it collided with big tournament in the USA and most western big guns didn’t made it to Japan

They rarely do anymore. That event has lost much of its int'l flavor/luster. Too bad, its such a classy well-run event. BTW, i looked up the tables. MIN in S.Korea is a big player in the asian pool/3c table biz.
 
Call me old-fashioned ALL you want but i really wish Amoroto would ditch the earring. I know its a cross but still looks like crap imo. Kid can flat gin it no doubt. He's the next 'big thing'.

if you were referring to my post, he did a very unsportmanlike thing some year ago and disrespected the sport, himself and his fans.. he's clearly very talented, but has some ways to go to earn my respect
