Break/Jump Cue?

I am considering selling my jump cue and getting a break/jump cue. I have a great jump cue, the link is below, and the Fins say their professionals use this very stick. I always hear that the best route to go is having individual sticks, a break cue and a jump cue. What break jumper cue jumps as well as a dedicated jumper like the one I have?

The biggest advantage for dedicated jump cue with modern jump cues is that they are 3 piece cues and longer compared to the jump section of a jump-break cue. the longer cue is more comfortable on some shots.
The shaft on a dedicated jump cue is different and usually thicker and stiffer which making jumps easier.

I have both, I take the jump/break when I'm lazy and don't want to carry that much gear or when I know I'm going to shoot 8ball as I don't use a jump cue that much in 8ball and a jump/break is good enough for me.
I'll take the dedicated jump cue and break cue when playing 9ball and to tournaments.

BTW, I got to try the Predator Air Rush for the first time last week, and wow, the hype is real.... there are maybe better jump cues out there, I didn't test them all but the Air Rush is definitely the best that I've tried so for.

I don’t know how yours break or jumps but my little monster breaks and jumps very well
150ish new and used on amazon
Probably the best bang for your buck, and you can get it on temo for less that a $100, I would have gotten one if I didn't already have a J/B cue and a separate jump break set.
I also have a Fisher jump cue that used to be the hype when it came out that I don't use anymore.

Jacoby Blackout straight breaker - not the J/B

Jumps damn well full cue.

Get the weight / balance right, grip it at a jump cue length & you are all set!!

If you have to go the J/B route contact Pat Diveney.

My break/jump cue has served me well and cost under a hundred. The phenolic tip and heavy / stiff shaft makes a full cue jump possible.
All cues have a personality. Most critical is knowing your cue. And oh yeah, It ain't the arrow. It's the Indian. 🤷‍♂️

I have some specs from my current jump cue, and now am considering an extension I could put on this cue to use it as a j/b cue. Here are the specs:
Dominus jump cue
Shaft = 29" 4.35oz
Butt mid=13" 7oz
Butt End=12" 5oz
Total Length = 54"
Total Weight = 16.4 oz
I really like this jump cue and would love to use it as a break cue as well.
I would like to add about four to six inches to the length and about 4 oz.

I have one of these extensions:
which works somewhat except for the point where it connects to the butt end that is bulged out and gets in the way somewhat. It also doesn't secure real tight like I know a screw in extension would. Are there any kits out there that you could put a screw in extension on the butt end?
Anybody have any advice?

Orochi (Which I believe are made in the same place as Ko brothers/Wu Kin Lin flavor of the month, Geez cues, are also made) Make a jump/break that involves separate handles. I am surprised more companies do not make them in this way tbh.

Anybody have any opinions on this particular brake jump cue?

I was wondering why nobody was making such a thing, great idea. Only issue for with it is the weight, these are too heavy in my opinion for a break cue, I prefer mine to be under 18oz.

I break with a house cue just as good as the other players break with their fancy break cues makes no difference to me.

What do you do when there isn’t a decent house cue around?
If the house cue are all great, you can just sell your playing cue as well.
The main reason we all carry our own cues is that we don’t need to rely on house cues.

There is no doubt that there are differences and advantages to different cues. If one does not see or feel it, maybe he’s not experienced or knowledgeable enough.
Same and maybe even more noticeable go for jump cues
