I grew up in a room with about 17 GC's, every one of them had ball counters. My Anniversary has BC's.

From now on… unless the mechanic is a well known gun I’m not using them. I’ll wait. That is the ugliest sh!t I have ever seen in my life!!!!!! Clearly it was the first time they ever installed cloth. I cant believe they used duct tape. I think I would have Googled some videos while they were there and showed them how it was supposed to be done and how it should look, pretty much exactly opposite of what they did. Now I see why you complained so much about the crap set up you got, I'm sorry that you had to suffer that. I did a way better job on my GCI and I never intended to set up my own table or even know how to do it, I just couldn't find anyone in my area that was doing decent work. I figured rather than pay someone for shitty work I might as well see if I can Forrest Gump my way thru and end up with a better job because I actually cared about the finished product.
I’m a shit magnet .., if a Florida mechanic can bugger a bolt I’m the customer they are serving. How can you mess up a diamond install?
Ball return only?? That blows. Probably cheaper to just make one version but i've never liked BR big tables.
Why the table flipping? You remind of some of my golf buddies flippin drivers every month when they can't hit a fairway. If i had a GC4 i'd never look at another table. IMO that's the best GC made. My home room , Magoo's in Tulsa, has ten really nice 4's.I don't like ball return tables either.
Once I determine which table I like the best - my Gold Crown IV or the new Diamond Professional - I might decide to sell one. And if I decide to sell the GCIV I might then go ahead and purchase a new Gold Crown VII.
Unless, of course, it only has the ball return. Will not buy it then. Maybe it will have drop pockets by then.

Wow. Doesn't cooperate. I've heard it all now. GC4's play GREAT. It's you brother not the box.Because I feel like my Gold Crown IV just doesn't play good. It doesn't seem to cooperate. Can't explain it. It is what it is.
And why buy new tables? Single, never married, no kids to worry about college or 20% house downpayments, worked for the govt, hoarded most of my $$$ over the years, the stock market has done really well for a long time.
I am not planning on leaving all my $$$ for someone else to spend. At least that's the plan.
I'd much rather take a lap to get the balls than bend down to that ball box anytime. Every room that i've ever been a regular at had drop pocket big tables.I have a 9 foot Gold Crown 3 at home. Very tight pockets. Plays like a good one pocket table. Plays true and fast.
Had the ball return taken out and drop pockets installed. The ball return on Brunswicks are noisy. Besides, I like walking around the table and flipping the balls around onto the table. I play the ghost a lot even though he's never been invited to my house.
