People who use chalk holders...what do you do when

I use one of these pouches, no mess, super soft, no need to wear special jeans or shirts for pool, super soft, no chalk falling off the magnet on the floor like I see all the time on those magnetic ones, and no worries about having the clip or holder scratch anything. Just works perfectly. You don't know what you are missing till you try a good one. Inexpensive, but shipping from UK is as much as the pouch. Still about the same price as a good magnetic one.

what brand do you like from England please ?

many have a hole in the bottom so you can put a coin or something else in the bottom to raise it up
in the pics below you can see my chalk is the same height or alittle less that the height of the chalk holder
i put 2 washers in the bottom and i am good to go
you can also see the hole so that if the chalk get stuck you can poke it out
We recently began making chalk holders as well but the shape is different due to an additional feature.
Ours have a hole in the middle to press out the chalk and come with spacers to raise the chalk as it wears.

I have purchased holders in the past that came with two sizes for different height chalks.
Prior to that I was using washers to accomplish the same result.

Chalk is essential to the sport. You cant avoid it. It’s not toxic. Comes in various colors. Its free unless you bring your own. It falls on the floor. You can possibly step on it. Its on the rails. Coins in your pocket probably transmit more germs than chalk. Ive never paid attention to the inside of my pockets You have to be a germaphobe or neat freak to even think about chalk on your fingers. Id worry more about what’s on the balls from handling them by numerous player who don’t wash their hands after using the restroom.
Wtf are you talking about?

If you want to stick your finger in the chalk go ahead, most normal people don't want the end of their finger/s covered in chalk and then all over their wrap.

Maybe think before you post.

Nobody said a thing about germs etc.

This is why I believe the average poster on here has an IQ below 80

Speak for yourself.

I think the best version is made by Peradon. I have 3 others; one is made by Gil Castillo.
It is red ringtail lizard that is the same leather as the 6x12 case he made for me. The other
two I acquired are for backup purposes and not nearly as well stitched, constructed or the
leather quality of Peradon that’s soft, pliable leather. It clings close without a huge opening.
I bought it years ago from Craftsmen Cues, Ltd. In Birmingham, England but it’s a little pricey.

I had heard about those when I got mine but they weren't available. The ones I got from Green Baize are super soft and very high quality, and like the Paradon are cut and sewn so the pouch folds out to the front somewhat. That is really important. These are really great, not sure why more don't use them. I think there is a bunch of followers in pool that just follow what everyone else does. I know some of those magnetic ones will scratch your wood finish table depending on where you wear them. A friend of ours that comes over to play now and then, switched to a magnetic one and all of a sudden I have a few scratches on the side rails. Told her not to wear it by me.

A lot of players in the league i play in put the chalk in their pockets no problem and no big deal.
What I think we’re dealing with here are a lot of players that never experienced the road players of the 50’s and 60’s who think they need a chalk holder dangling from their back pocket, a break cue and jump cue and a tacky tasteless pool shirt with their name on the back.

Don't forget gloves and pool shoes. No self respecting player leaves the house without them. ;)

Forgot about the baseball hat. A necessity indoors playing pool. I’ve noticed that Superman had not worn his recently. Possibly tournament rules or he’s trying to loose the gang banger image. Ive also noticed he has been more animated.
