Would be nice to allow the cue cases as carry ons to avoid this happening. But, it's unlikely to change, because the cabins are nowadays already full of small trolleys as airlines charge extra for checked in luggage.

That would really suck. In a interview he did on Doggin It podcast, he mentioned that he backs himself and comes out of pocket for everything on his own, with a really tight budget on food and stuff just to get by. I was rooting for him because of that.
He did post recently that he just got a new sponsor, so hopefully that helps his situation.
