Indicator mounted to headstock
I don’t believe they do. I have 2 that were custom made. With the amount of work it takes I’m guessing a $150 chuck would turn into $700-1000 chuck real quick unless you can do it yourself.Do they make a 4 jaw independent chuck for a taig lathe?
That set up looks pretty good.Indicator mounted to headstockView attachment 877187
how'd you get a nut in the slot to mount the indicator arm?Indicator mounted to headstockView attachment 877187
Thats what I thought was cool about it.Just lucky I guess. Bought arm at amazon. Stem of arm is 10/32 or 5mm same as nuts in headstock. You are able to fold arm out of the way or fold it forward to measure your carriage travel. Most indicator bases were at least 1/4x20 or larger from what I rememberhow'd you get a nut in the slot to mount the indicator arm?
So do those screws threads match up with the back of the jaws? While it would be slow to set up, it would be easy to true.View attachment 877696Can this one be modified for the larger headstock
Chuck is made for a standard taig headstockSo do those screws threads match up with the back of the jaws? While it would be slow to set up, it would be easy to true.
