Monarch cushions

Did you ever play on a table with dead cushions and fast cloth? Its a very unusual combination to get used to. We had one by us that the cloth was so fast that you almost had to hit a cushion to get the cue ball to stop. It was a miserable table to play on.
Yes. I understand that, I'm not saying it will improve dead cushions. If dead cushions was the problem he wouldn't get 3-1/2 lengths of the table.
We're still asking the question "how many bounce backs are acceptable?" I don't see diamonds getting more than 4 and that's the tables everyone seems to want theirs to be like.

I work on the tables at a 10 table room, mostly old anniversaries and one one piece diamond. We put 760 on the anniversaries and 860 on the diamond to help make them a little more consistent for league play. The diamond is still a little faster but not brutal to low ranks.

Wow, that's surprising. I have a GCI with sub-rails modified for current cushion profiles and it has artemis cushions with Simonis 860, it goes 4 1/2 -5 table lengths consistently as do the Diamonds we play on.

I get 5 cushions on my GCI with adjusted subrail bevels and Diamond Black cushions as evidenced by my video on the first page of this thread.

I guess I'll have to go around and test some tables in my area, im curious what they all do now. I don't think the average bar tables have been modified like yours.
I guess the same could be said, if you're used to a fast action table like yours it will effect your play on average tables.

There are no two tables that play alike, There's always adjustments to be made.
