Dennis Searing?

Just seeing if anyone knows what's going on with Searing. I've seen some hints that there was some problems with cue orders recently, but can't find much on that. I put my name on his waiting list in 2010, when it was said to be 10years, and haven't heard anything. Are they still worth the price, and if so, what's the current cost of an average cue? Should I still be expecting to hear from him, or have things changed?

I think you would have a better chance of seeing a Bigfoot riding a unicorn at an alien rodeo in the woods than seeing a new Searing.

I been on for years, none of us will never see a cue period! Only if your famous player or hall of famer.

Dennis has been subject of many customers, who because frustrated with delivery, came 5o Forum for help. Road Trip to Visit Dennis could be in order.

i have been on the list before you
i have seen him and played him in a few tournaments
last was 2 years or so ago
always tells me my name is coming up should be ready to start a design in a month or 2
then he wont answer emails /texts /or phone calls
about 8 years ago we spent 3 weeks on a design ...exchanging drawings
then nothing
to make a long story short
dont expect to ever get one from him

IMO Dennis’s cues were the talk of the town in early 2000’s they were meticulously made and played fantastic but the new cue makers have caught up and surpassed in some of those areas, at a fraction of the cost. What drives his popularity today is purely financial as his cues resale value in the market can be a windfall for some. His cues only stay with a certain few collectors who trade and buy them among themselves because of price, call it the millionaires club. From what I remember, Dennis told me he wants his cues played and not flipped etc. I think that is why he is selective on who he builds for, but money is money and I’m sure he has bills to pay. Again this is just my opinion.
