WNT PREMIER LEAGUE OF POOL 2026, Miami, Fla, Feb. 18-22

It looks like the matches are scheduled to start at 10 am on Saturday instead of the previously announced noon starting time. And they are scheduled at 30-minute intervals. Only 6 of the 31 races to 5 (19%) that I tracked last year lasted less than 30 minutes. The average was 40 minutes.

Early start is correct. Each player plays nine times today.

My favorite tournament. Whoever wins clearly earns it. Kinda like the straight pool tournaments of yesteryear. The payouts should be better.

kaci in a league of his own. melling is surprisingly strong
I love watching him play. He's a really creative shot maker. Do wonder how well he'd do if he stuck to one cue sport as he divides his energy between UK pool (which has a smaller cue ball), 9 ball and Hey Ball. He was even a snooker pro for a while. Don't think the chopping and changing between disciplines can help him, though impressive he can hold his own at all of them

Final day. Final six are

Duong 18 pts
Kaci 18 pts
FSR 16 pts
Capito 15 pts
Januarta 14 pts
Melling 13 pts

Another round robin this afternoon. Five games apiece. Four players make the semis tonite and two players are cut.

Duong and Kaci are almost certain to make the evening session. They just need to win one game to pretty much guarantee it.

FSR has to win two or three to likely get thru.

Realistically three players are fighting for the final spot. Melling would have to go 4-1 or 5-0. Same for Januarta.

Can someone put up a link to table 4? There doesn't seem to be a table 3 today. Googling worked yesterday but not today. Matchroom Pool's youtube channel is just showing previous matches.

I'm at a loss as to why WNT can't simply provide links on their site to all 3 tables, instead of making you search for all but 1 & 2.

And now table 1 has gone blank. It goes back on for a second or two and then goes off again. Jesus Fucking Christ.

This is the first time I have seen what happened with the streaming on Table 1 for the whole first match today. Back and forth between the current match and all sorts of other stuff from the event, including matches from prior days. It was awful. Will they get it fixed?

Edit -- Pleased to report that the streaming problem in the first match on Table 1 is not happening in the second match.

When do the semis start? And will they be playing at the same time on two tables, or one after the other on one table?

6:00 pm EST. I think Scott Frost said all of the matches (there are only 3) after Stage 3 would be on Table 1.

Edit -- Kaçi vs. FSR is scheduled for 6 pm and Duong vs. Januarta for 6:45 pm, both on Table 1. Then the final at 8 pm.

Thanks. I figured as such, but I haven't had sound on table 1 all day. Just got an email notifying me of the time.

Sanchez-Ruiz over Kaçi 7-5 in the first semifinal.

In the years of this event prior to last year, they stuck with alternate break throughout the event. For some reason, last year they switched to winner breaks in the Playoffs (just 3 matches). This year they have switched back to alternate break. Given that the playoffs are still short races, to 7 versus 5 in the earlier Stages, I think alternate break is appropriate.

Duong over Januarta 7-6 in the second semifinal, after Duong led 6-3. This made it 4 times in a row that Duong beat Januarta in this event.

Final coming up -- FSR vs. Duong.

These races to 7 in the semi-finals and finals are so idiotic, considering all the pool that was played up to that point.

Congrats to Mr. Duong. He defeated FSR 7-4 after winning the most matches, winning the most games, and losing the fewest games of players who made it through Stages 1, 2, and 3.
