PBS St Louis 2026 (Men’s World 8 Ball Championship, Mixed Doubles, Women’s Open, Bank Pool), 1-8 April, Half Million Prize Fund

Its unreal the amount of people that continually spread the "Oh the Europeans gets so much Federation/govt support" bs, and 'Merica sucks. I asked Daz years ago and he responded with they get very little.

i take it you don't believe that taiwanese schools have dedicated hours to practice pool jump shots either

Perhaps the most enjoyable part of the bank finals, to me, was seeing the best players in the world badly miss some banks I've made plenty of times. Hah!

I know. A new table and slick cloth. Fans and pressure. And many of the misses were played as two-way shots. I just thought: there's hope for us yet!

Still, great fun and a great finals. The bank Gorst hit that just grazed another ball was almost the best bank of the tourney.

One of my favorite events, Mixed Doubles and Women's Open starting today. I like how these days, aside from the regular fixed doubles (like Ouschans, Fillers) they mixed up different nationalities in other teams. Predator's contribution to women's game and team events puts MR WNT to shame.😆

race to 8 winner break is kinda brutal for 8-ball. the pockets are tight but it's still 8-ball.. was it sets format last year?

Both players had a few shocking misses. Still, seems like the only point of drama in pro 8-ball on big tables is whether the break goes in.

I don't mind watching, but only to see how they run out. My playing partner likes to play a set of 8-ball each time we meet.

Yeah I hate playing and watching 8ball, but I don't mind seeing the pros runout on tight pockets on a big table. Beats Ultimate Pool by a long shot.

Bergman takes down Filler.

How many Mosconi Cups would Bergman have won USA over the last few years?

Instead, Matchroom and Skyler keep giving us Thorpe and Styer.
Zero?

Bergman is unremarkable at the MC.

2014

Doubles: 1-1

Singles 0-2

2015

Doubles: 1-1

Singles: 1-2

2016

Doubles: 2-1

Singles: 0-1

2019

Doubles: 1-2

Singles: 0-1

One singles win in four MCs. Losing record in doubles. Not sure where this notion that he's Team USA's missing piece comes from.

With that being said, I'd still pick him over Billy, Tyler and Skyler. He is way more composed and tactical at the table, and Team USA are the clear underdogs in that department. Billy has won 3/8 singles matches and Tyler has won 3/10 singles, so not much better than Bergman who has had fewer chances.

The camera work in this event is quite poor. They seem to lack the understanding that seeing the ball go into the pocket is important, but in many cases it’s even more important to see where the cue ball is going afterwards.

There have been numerous times where they just show a zoomed in view of the pot and never pan out to show the rest of the shot.

Usually Predator is good about this stuff
