Cube shape TAOM chalk is the best thing that’s happened to pool chalk…..period. Oval shape sucks and Fedora’s chalk is just another silly shape that is more of a gimmick than any improvement in chalk. TAOM really blew it by not introducing TAOM in both versions, cube and oval, that would have let them keep 100% of the profit instead of sharing it with Pagulayan since it ‘s the same damn chalk. Any of us using it will tell you it’s as good as V10 without the label.

I posted about Pagulayan chalk long ago and I’m thrilled that it has become so popular because it’s a cube not oval.
There’s no other reason for its popularity since it is TAOM pool chalk but in a cube shape that so many players prefer.

What I like about the oval chalk shape is that it being wider makes it far less likely to get your ferrule dirty, I use a Dr. V's Custom Shop magnetic holder so the chalk holder is an octagon shape so the chalk rolling is not a problem and I get about 2 years on one piece of chalk playing at least an hour a day and usually more, it's well documented cleanliness for both balls and tables and longevity make for a more enjoyable time when playing for me for not a lot of money.

When you say "oval" do you mean the standard round Toam shape or are they making more than one shape??

Circular may be more appropriate or merely saying round suffices too.

That usually implies length the way I understand the term……parallel sides extending from a base that ends with the
same diameter thru-out the length. Nope, that description won’t work so the best description is round, at least IMO.
