That black might be the easiest ball ever missed for a place in the WC final. He’s gonna have nightmares.
I backed Wu at 19 to 1 before the tournament started but still hated to see Mark lose the match in that fashion.
I don’t even think he hit that black too badly. It looked pretty good from the camera behind the pocket… until it didn’t go down. At any fractionally slower pace I reckon that would have probably dropped.
The tension was incredible.

Wu is now 10 to 11 odds on favourite with Betfair.
Shaun is 13 to 12.

Either one would be a deserving champion. But I’m pulling for Shaun.

I definately didn't want Higgins or Allen to be in the final. Wu-Shaun should be entertaining
I can’t help but love the whole class of 92 (Ronnie, Mark and John, probably in that order), but I was pulling for Shaun over John. A second world title for Shaun is what I’m hoping for.
good question i would say it has been happening slowly, but for the chinese players to completely take over the european players, that will be in 20 years
they will mostly win tournaments against european players in 10 years
same, was rooting for wu yize but damn that one felt.. that ball is gonna sting for the rest if his life, especially if he doesn't reach the final in the future (and time is running out, he's 40 something)
I'm looking at the # of matches won by season. The 23-24 season had zero Chinese players in the top 10. The 24-25 season had two in the top 10, and the 25-26 season has four Chinese players in the top 10. Including the 1st and 2nd spots.

Wasn't 23/24 the season most of the top Chinese players were banned for match fixing?
At the moment the only young player the UK has that looks destined for top 16 is Stan Moody. In 10 years time could easily imagine top 16 is Stan, whoever has the best longevity out of Trump & Kyren Wilson and 13 or 14 Chinese players
partly explained with the selective participation by some british players..

not sure how Wu got any sleep last night and I maintain that the scheduling is a mess
Wu's safety game just collapsed in both execution and decision making, it's just nowhere near at the level of his potting,
Allen exposed that and Murphy is the right guy to take this even further with his own brilliant tactics and now dreaded break shot
Wu just needs to do what he does and fire in shots and avoid all Murphy's traps
best semis ever and finals could be the same

i think he can keep up with whatever safety game murphy can put up.. murphy's always been one dimensional, he wants to get rid of the snooker rule altogether iirc. i think it will be a shootfest, with nerves being determinative. yize showed a lot of nerves against allen.. but good start for yize here, 1-0 and in with a chance
