Minor thread measurement 3/8x11 modified

I am making a Kielwood shaft for a friend to match an IQ cue from Greece.

Is the minor for 3/8x11M the same as for 3/810M?

Butt is too far away for me to measure the pin.

I'm not absolutely positive however i think the 3/8-11 modified is .3125 Mike Webb will know for sure

5/16" for 3/8-11 is the "standard" minor

I don't know if they vary, these are old for Southwest

Unfortunately it will most likely depend on who manufactured the pin.
You can have different minors on the same style 3/8-10 and/or 3/8-11 pin from different places.

.306 and .310 or .312
Have them try it on the cue and report back which one fits best.

The cue is from Greece, nobody said that's where it's located.
This type of joint is best made without any tap.

The minor diameter would need to bored and the threads cut live.
This would be one way to achieve them.

I was referring to the op we don't know what his capabilities or what tooling he has. Maybe he does have the ability to live thread

If he doesn't have the capabilities he's SOL.

I have the .308 reamer which does okay but recently borrowed a .306 which was much better..
