At the timestamped video below, Strickland is playing Sigel in one pocket and briefly comes to the table with radio earmuffs that I hadn't seen the likes of since the 90s.
By the time he returns the table he has taken them off, but it cracked me up. Noticing the date of the video was 2017 made it even funnier given the large array of options for noise cancelling headphones worn much more subtly...

I’m sure more than a few of Mike’s opponents would have liked some noise cancellation technology.

Not only the ear muffs but the huge clubs on the tips of his fingers. 😂
Imagine an alien coming to earth to study humans and the game of pool and Earl of that era is who they find, there is no doubt he would suffer being anally probed on the mother ship.
 
If you don't like watching 1-pocket, skip to the end of the video for some fun. Recently, someone posted a straight pool match between these two characters, and Earl was whining the same thing after the match.

He has ear covers, I want a sleep mask so I don't have to watch Sigel helicopter out of every other shot, like he's fly fishing.

I find it so painful to watch players do that.

Totally agree. As if that large after motion imparted anything positive on the cue ball. I see some people do that in pool halls then look around to see who noticed...
