What Is The Best Jump Cue?

View attachment 913220

Had not heard of the jump & break cue Sniper3. Usually the combos are poorer than the dedicated jump cue. Here's a blurb on it from the web. Not cheap --- $500
I have historically agreed with you. Like most people I started out with a J/B but eventually moved to separate dedicated cues. This is the first one *for me* that performs both tasks equally well. And while $500 is not cheap, it is cheaper than either the BK Rush or the Air Rush, let alone both.

I’ve been using both dedicated jump cues and jump-break cues for years.
In my opinion, a good J-B will be as good as the old style, shorter 2pc. Jump cues.
The benefits of the modern jump cues is the 3 pc construction that adds length.
How come no one made a 4pc J-B cues?

I think there are some out there.

Got this cue on its way from Japan, standard jump / break split but also come with and extension for longer jump shots.

The jump extension is brilliant, my giess it leaves a better solid construction for the break.

I have a little monster j/b on the way, it was under $80 on Ali Express so I couldn’t resist…
I’ve tried it once and it was surprisingly good, decided to give it a good try for that price, and use it for league nights where it’s too crowded to get a nice setup out.
I have another inexpensive j/b cue that I got modified a bit but it’s dear to me and last time some idiot dropped it while I was shooting… got a little dent in the forearm… so I ordered the little monster as it made of CF and would be more durable for these league nights.

I play 8ball and 9ball, I find that in 8ball I hardly jump, so lazy me prefer to carry just a j/b cue. When I play 9ball, I take separate jump and break cues.

A guy offered me the opportunity to jump with a Triple 60 Satellite the other day. I used a standard stroke and it jumped nicely. There isn't a groove for a dart stroke but I jumped fine that way also. His had the small extension with it making it almost a full length cue. Felt super light, but looking at the specs should be around 17oz with the extension. Any new dedicated jump cue these days should be great with some practice.

I own Viking playing cue and a Break cue. The Break cue I bought as a combo with the punch handle. Works fine and I have no desire to get anything else as I don't do a lot of jumping, when practicing or at a tournament/venue that allows it. I'm tall and I do find the punch handle to be just a little to short at times, good enough for me.
