Nice post from John on his finally hitting 800 Fargo. With his wrong hand!

Fargo ratings are sticky. I’d be curious to see how John’s 2026 rating compares to others’ for the same period. I suspect he might be performing in the top 50.
Ya he's an 800, but that's an awful low robustness

That's an amazing accomplishment for Mr. Morra, and puts him at around number 72 on the top world players list.
Just to give you an idea of how good Josh Filler is though, at fargorate 863, he is 63% better than Morra!
We've all seen John Morra play- he is fantastic- which makes Filler's rating even more impressive

Back in the day there used to be a few people who played shortstop speed with both hands. Never met one who plays championship level with both hands.

There's absolutely zero logical reason for them to and they don't even though almost all of them have active GHIN that is up to date.
It's a milestone for the guy. No need to piss in his Cheerios over it.

But it's not. It has no historical meaning at all. He's a player chasing titles. A damn impressive one too.
I agree it has no historical significance.
However small it's not nothing.
He seems happy with it.
Maybe it will give him more confidence to get to the titles in the future.
He’s won a bunch of titles this year. Turning Stone, US Open 10b and Banks. A bunch of pretty good tournaments in Canada.
His tournament success is what has driven his Fargo up.
But that doesn’t make the Fargo rating meaningless. It’s a measuring stick. I made the post because I thought it was neat that a player of John’s calibre would look at the same way we amateurs do.
