I’m sure this has been discussed. Are we gonna as 50 year olds allow, this monstrosity to take over both 29 inches of what we cherish and adore. I’ll dig my grave before carbon is in my case, unless I live in my car, lol.

Enjoy both.
Wood on outside and carbon fiber inside.
Weights movable anywhere along butt length:

Your case, do as you please…
We are witnessing the logical changes to pool cues. They are sports equipment for use in the sport of billiards.
They should be made from the best substance available that offer performance, durability, price and comfort.
Wood have many issues and for many years it was a compromise.

I like beautiful cues, I like nice wood with nice patterns and grain, I appreciate the fine craftsmanship that goes into pool cues but it all do nothing to the game at, just high costs and pain in the butt with a lot of heart ache if something happens to it.

Had the same sentiments last year, got tired of fixing dings on my wooden shafts, switched to carbon and never looked back. Still using wood for the butt as I love wood's pattern and color and the design/inlays that can be made. Carbon butts? who knows??? will probably switch if ever I damage one of my wooden butts during play....
