U.S. OPEN 2026, Frisco, Texas, August 25-30

I hope the ESPN analytics are to the moon! This is wonderful! Great production values and how long has it been since this kind of exposure?

I wonder what ratings they consider a success? I mean they show all kinds of fringe sports (to me) that I’m assuming aren’t pulling in huge numbers.

For real, quit freaking crying about Rogan. One of the best people on the entire planet to help promote the sport and people still complain.

Just shut up.

Free HD pool on ESPN.

Reminds me of the people who come into my local pool hall and complain about the tables, the music, the temperature, about EVERYTHING. And then bring in a packed lunch, their own drinks, and tell me the owner should put up 2 grand for a tournament they might make some money on.

Ask Jay about how much effort it takes to put on an event. I doubt anyone of the naysayers have ever lifted a finger or spent a dime of their own money to do anything for the game.

I would think the Geo break down, Total eyeballs, and the A/B against the WNT.TV numbers. The other thing I would consider is live vs dvr and the commercial switch away. There are some really good sponsors/commercial brands and that lends itself to the success. Of course I don’t have any idea of the goal numbers but that is what I would be weighing.

A 1 rating means over one million viewers. Comparable with college basketball. A 2 would be an excellent rating, like a MLB game.
