My competition sports/Adam tribute cues

Here's both pins in my hof cues. The 3/8x10 on top with two balabushka's on the bottom next to a titilist. You can see the difference in pin profiles.

Dirty little misunderstood secret… Competition Sport was not Adam Cues USA. It wasn’t a continuation of Adam. Nothing like that. They were a completely different entity started by Don Spetkar , who had no ownership in Adam. There seems to be a confusion that Competition Sports was an extension of Adam USA. It was not.

There’s more, but that’s enough. I can answer any question based on recent interviews (with everyone alive that had something to do with Adam USA and Competition Sports.)

How many of the hof cues were actually built? I know some are extremely rare. The fourth cue over from the left I've never seen another or advertisement with that cue. It's one of the best playing cues i have, nothing beats a good straight grain forearm.

Assuming you mean these two, the photos aren’t clear. If the silver rings are the same thickness, then both are built in China for Adam Japan as far as I can tell. I assume neither signature have an (R) .

How many HoFs were made? I really don’t know. I assume in the hundreds. The Mosconi commemorative tribute cue suggest they were going to or did make 526 of that one model. Not sure if they really did make that many.

The 526 was mosconi high run, I was told the mosconi family got the first numbered set of 8 cues, I was offered the number 2 or 3 set years back but didn't feel like putting up that amount of money. I've heard less than 20 sets were made, I've seen 3 full sets over the years. The mosconi collection featured 8 cues in a collectors case. Some of the other hof cues just have the face and initials on them. I personally don't think more than 25 of the each cue was ever made in that short time they were available as they were expensive to make and hard to sell a tribute at that price also.

The hof cues have different pin profiles from the two balabushkas. That gb23 has the brown bumper from the early 2000's, but the pin is different from the hof cues, even the hof cues with the brown bumper. The hof cues have a more bullet type point on the pins.

I’d have to really see better profile photos of the pins. The domed pins all look slightly different.

Hard to be certain from the picture but i believe i have cue #6 in your top picture. No markings on butt, no signature, rounded pin.

that cue was originally part of the 8 cue willie mosconi collection and then after some time labeled as bu-1. Idk why as lou butera tributes where lb-1 through 4. Early 2000s around 2003-2007
