Pool Ball Collecting.

I do have the rule book. The box was unopened. It's just out of the picture. I will gladly share this with you as I don't think that's violating any copyright according to the first page.

I agree. I probably wouldn't have added the yellow snooker ball set but it was a sale price and my US dollar was $0.70 to the Canadian dollar And free shipping. so it made it not so bad. Something different for the collection for sure.
Thanks for the pictures! I think I had scans already as well. I played it once, but I am not sure if I played it correct. Being not a native English speaker, I sometimes struggle with understanding rules if they are very vage on specific points and situations. Like: If I pot purple and miss orange, does purple come back on the foot spot? You know, things like these not the general rules per se…

If the Snooker set would be cheap, I would get one as well. But Aramiths are very expensive, I don’t even have a normal Snooker set from them, only a Chinese one and English Crystalates. I would love to have an American numbered one and maybe the yellow one as well, but I can not afford to spend my money there and better get something else for it 😄

I understand, I find some rules not well explained. I had to read these a couple times.

I see used sets once in awhile for cheap but the shipping would cost a bit to you.

Does anybody have a set of these here?

Seems to not have been long in business, and never saw anything about these Poker balls anywhere.

And another question: can anyone recommend good sites for finding second hand billiard stuff in the US? I am aware of ebay and craigslist, but maybe there is something else where one might stumble across rare things like the set above... 🙃

New acquisitions! Firstly I got a cheap 42mm Snooker set.

I know it should be for small children tables or something like that. But it is Aramith and came with a complete packaging. Even though it is quite beaten up a bit. Balls have no damages, and the rest looks unused as well.

I had to get it, just for nostalgia reasons and the oldschool charme the box has 😄

I had to look up stimpmeter as well, never heard that before 🙃

We played a lot of Boccette and Petanque already, but never with biased balls. So I was lucky to find them, they are quite fun. We played a few games this morning and thoroughly enjoyed them!

The second set is a 2“ carpet bowls set.

This set itself is not strictly for billiards, I know. But it will be used to play Table Bowls:

Table Bowls rules

I checked Traditional Games, and a Table Bowls set in this size is over 200,- so I rather take these. The biased balls should be fun, let‘s see how they roll 😄
I also have stumbled across a set of these carpet bowls And couldn't pass him up for $30.
They will definitely roll funny because they have a weighted flat spot on each one. I'll have to give them

a try at some point.

Always nice to see balls for the more obscure games in here. Hope you will have a lot of fun hours with them!

I think the rules are the same for Table Bowls on a billiards table, as they are for normal Bowls. My domain is already bought, and my website will go online tomorrow. Hope it is ok to post a link in here! Then you can compare the rulesets yourself 😊

I'm looking forward to your website.

My website is online! I just need to get advice from an administrator where to put a link and start a thread (or folder) to discuss the games i put online…
Just put a link in this thread. I would imagine your intended audience are the folks who visit this thread.

I don’t believe you will face repercussions for directing traffic away from this site. You’re just grooving a niche, and in fact, directing traffic back to this site when folks who visit yours first look to expand their horizons.

Oh, I was not thinking about stealing traffic, as my website offers no room for discussion anyway. I posted a new thread under Rules and Strategies, but as this subforum is dedicated to the 300 ways book, I wanted to be sure. I do not want to put anything in there which is out of context, and of course I do not want to step on somebody else‘s toes. Hence I asked if it may be appropriate in there as well 😊

So here’s a link to my new thread:
Discussion in Rules subforum

My intended audience is just everyone interested in cue sports. And as new ball sets - like Starball, Cuemate,… - automatically imply new rules as well, of course collecting the balls and the rules seems to be connected to me. I hope anyone can enjoy the stuff I researched over the last couple of years! Looking foreward to any discussions in there!

Hello, HKC.

I hope you are well, sir. And thank you for sharing news of another great acquisition, dear chap.

A thinner striped Harley Davidson set exists… possibly the rarest design and thus rather more difficult to find. I’ll keep my eyes peeled for you. 👍

Thank you Rubik's, I do appreciate your help finding something new. They do have a neat design.
A heads up to you and anyone else. There have been English snooker sets on Etsy lately. A couple I have not seen before but the shipping would not make sense to me.
