Savannah “The RoadRunner” Easton using a wood shaft?

What I feel from a good shaft/tip combo is feedback in my hand from vibration and sound, it doesn't make me play better its just something I like. It also gives me clues as to how hard it hit the cue ball and center ball will feel different than draw or a lot of side spin. The majority of carbon shafts I have tried so far have all been extremely muted by comparison but it seems like most players prefer soft and super soft trips which may be the majority of the problem. I prefer harder vs softer tips.
I use hard tips on CF shafts as well, no issue there.
Don’t know which CF shafts you have tried but not all are “dead”, there is definitely a feedback, just something that needs to get used to.
By the way, that feedback that you talking about is the energy transferred back to the cue upon impact, with CF there is less energy coming back to the shaft, which means more energy is transferred to the CB which is the “power” that all are taking about in regards to CF.

You should try the JFlowers SMO, it has a long pro taper and it’s more flexible than most CF shafts, it might give you the feel that you are looking for.

Plenty of elite pro pool players switched to/from carbon and it hasn't seem to made any noticeable difference in their performance.
Plus, this was done with a fat wood shaft, with a long ferrule. This performance won't be topped for a long time, if ever.

I don't understand the premise here, cause he ran the set it means that his shaft is great? you're new to pool or something? This same guy that you posted a vid of who ran 11 racks had a loss just two days before this to an unknown player. Its pocket billiards, if things go your way then you'll play better regardless....I can list you 10 vids of players who ran sets with their CF, but what are that gona accomplish? nothing.

The guy in the vid literally lost to a nobody two days ago in round-two of that same tournament :D, its pocket billiards man....

Do you know back in the 90s Johnny archer ran 15 consecutive racks against Bustamante, in fact in that match bustamante did not come off his chair at all....then Busty said to Archer, wana play again? double or nothing.....they agreed, and the next set Busty beat Archer by a long margin...Its pocket billiards I say that again to you, maybe you're new to the game, but thats how it is....doesnt mean their shaft/equipment changed...

I bet you in your game weather its casual or whatever had ran some sets out and you never understood why...they happen, doesnt mean your fat wooden shaft is great tho.

Hell even Kazakis the most inconsistant player of all time, he ran 9 and out on Shane in the finals of Master tournament....do I go and say he played perfect pool because of his revo? No, this has nothing to do with anything the fact that he ran the set, in pool it just happens...sometimes if all the pool gods want you to run the set, you will.

Come on dude, this is widely regarded as arguably the greatest 9 ball performance of all time. And he did it in the Matchroom era with 4 inch pockets and a breakbox.

He didn't do it because of using a wood shaft, he did it because shaft type and skill have no real correlation.

yet he lost round two to unknown player with the same table, same shaft....

playing great in pool depends on pool gods, and rolls....what really matters is consistency which is what I am arguing here, if things lay good for you you'd run a set with a broom-stick.

My argument is that using CF will improve your consistency in the game overall and in general, doesnt matter one set or one rack.

He has a Fargo of almost 850 (which would be higher if he didn't quit Western pool), how much more consistency do you want?
