Schon R-Series Cues Picture Thread

I know there are tons of posts and pictures of this series here on the site. I have read and seen EVERY SINGLE one of them. I’m obsessed with these cues from the 80s. It was known that Bob was making cues from 81-92 at Schon and many believe Runde-era Schon’s are the best cues ever made. Some here even say that they are superior to even late Balabushkas. Balabushka invented the form, but Runde perfected it.

Meucci and Schon cues are what stared my obsession of billiards as a kid. I bought my 1st Meucci cue at 13 years old in 1975. I remember the 1st time I actually shot with a R-1 cue in the early 80s and still to this day I favor that solid/magical (no vibration) hit as I call it. They are still the best hitting, solid cues I've ever hit with in my opinion and i have owned many brands over the years.

I am suggesting to start a picture thread, that is dedicated to the R-Series cues only. If you have any photos of R’s, please post them here. Hopefully you agree and see the value of having them all in one thread.

Thank you, Cheers!
Don

The R12 was always a favorite of mine when it comes to cue designs.
There was a tread years ago of a cue made later by Runde with the same design.
There are tons of R cues on the web. Sadly I don't have one.... I own a Clarke era Schon cues, one is a grey STL and an LTD cue (that I actually used tonight at league)

Just my opinion, but the R2 and R6 are just about as close to perfect as cues can get, with the R2 being by personal favorite of any production cue ever. The points are the perfect length and width and there's just an understated classic beauty to them. Don't get me wrong, I like all of them. I just prefer simpler cues.

I had a one off built in 82 I think possibly 83 but I'm sure 82. Sadly sold it to Koinkid and can't get it back. Front was similar to that R12, butt end similar to the R14 but not white inlay but a burl wood if I remember right. I went to their shop to get a cue made and they had some laying out on a pool table. picked bits and pieces from them and had a one of a kind. I used to have my sales slip for it but haven't seen it in about 6 or 8 yrs. Maybe I sent it to him, I don't remember.
