Can someone please tell me the diference between these 2 different Aramith balls?

I'm pretty sure the left one is Tournament, but what's the one on the right? Thanks.

    Valley and Connelly the same?

Are Valley and Connelly tables the same quality? If not, what might the Connelly be comparable to? I'm considering buying a Connelly. Thanks!

I guess since Shane's not married he has to kiss his own balls for good luck (stolen from Johnny Carson).

Magic Rack not holding balls tight

The Aramith set is about 4 years old but I did measure them and they were all right at 2.25"

Magic Rack not holding balls tight

Thanks everyone for the replies. VVPis right! I thought I had tried every which way but I did what he suggested and bingo! It now works as intended. It just never occurred to me that it would need to be arranged a specific way and the "instructions" don't even mention it. Anyway, thanks VVP!

Magic Rack not holding balls tight

I'm going to. I just wondered if I was the only one with this issue. I even measured the Aramith balls and to no surprise, they're 2 1/4".

Magic Rack not holding balls tight

It's the 8 ball rack and brand spanking new. I tried Aramith Tournament Pro and another set of lesser quality balls with the same result. There is about a 1/32" gap between the 2 balls behind the head ball regardless of rotated angle or flipped. I have other cheap knock-off templates that are...

    Can't separate rails from pockets

Never mind. I found the answer. There are set screws below holding the dowels but you can't see them unless you slide the whole rail off the side of the table a couple of inches.

    Can't separate rails from pockets

I'm trying to replace the rubber on my rails and I can't get the rail separated from the pocket. Even with wodden wedges I can't seem to get more than about 3/16". All the bottom bolts are removed and I can't see anything holding it together other than the metal/steel "dowel". I don't know...

1 and 15 in the side 8 ball

Thanks Mitch. That's good stuff and I did not know about rule #2. I can definitely see some situations where that could really be a problem.

1 and 15 in the side 8 ball

That was my impression as well but I have no choice if I want to play at the RV resort where I will be spending winters. I guess I'll just have to learn to love it! I have to believe though that there are strategies that come onto play. I'd like to learn some of those before I start playing.

1 and 15 in the side 8 ball

I am going to be playing in a "senior league" next fall and they play this 8 ball game where the 1 ball and the 15 ball must be made in opposite (predetermined) side pockets. I've never heard of this variation of 8 ball so here are my questions. Does this game have a name? Is there somewhere...
