Best way to clean and maintain a wood shaft

Not to mention wiping chalk off of tip before putting into case after playing so chalk will not line your shaft sleeve.

Looking for the measurements to mark my cloth when i glue it on

Quick answer, clamp one side of cloth to slate. Pull with maximum stretch, mark cloth on other side of slate while stretched. Subtract 3/4 of an inch.

    different rail side after recovering

I swap the end rails on every table recover because the bottom corner balls of an eight ball rack hit in the same spot on every break. Maybe a little OCD, but it must even out the stress on the end cushions somewhat. It may matter if there is a brand badge or a counter though.

    Gold Crown Rail Install

Have all rails attached to pocket irons and set on table. Set your end rails slightly snug and centered to the holes where they can be bumped around. Measure diagonally across table end to end at the same precise points on both end rails. When readings are the same, ends should be square and...

2 inch balls on 7ft bar box

How come no one has mentioned that the proper bed/slate to nose rail height should be around 63.5 % of the diameter of the ball. Which is what, about 1 7/16 inches or so for a 2.25 inch American, usually standard billiard ball? Tell the goober to measure his rail/"bumper" height and he should...

Any more bar tables with big cue balls?

The bar I step into once in a while was using the big cue balls but the tables really used the later version, the heavy ball. But the big ones would work because they were heavier. I bought them the proper heavy balls and threw the over sized ones into Lake Texoma on the way home.

    Contact lenses for pool ?

I have run across these neoprene things that slip onto the ear pieces of your glasses. They hold your glasses perfectly where you want them without slipping down your nose. They work amazingly well as advertised. They are called Wedgees and are cheap. Check them out on Amazon. Great for pool and...

    Snooker Cloth

Hi all. I have a 10' snooker to do and am wondering about the Simonis cloths. Is the 30 oz. 4000 any more difficult to work with than 760 or 860? How about closing out the rails? Are they easier than pool table rails? I've done many tables of course but never a snooker table. So any tips or...

    A quandry with my game

I heard that after a few drinks there is a left or right brain shift, which ever it is. Then you are operating with your more subconcious or free flow side of the brain and not your talky, logical side. But after several drinks more, all bets are off. Thats what a DUI school taught a friend of...

    Instroke Buffalo case

Yeah, when it got knocked over, I told the guy no big deal and didn't notice it broken until I was leaving. Will have to secure things better in the future. I love the case though, but still a drag.
