I was wondering if you guys could help me out, I have just replaced tips in the past but recently a guy gave me his cue and the ferrule is lose at the bottom, I was wondering how can I get the ferrule off, and do I have to put a new tennon in the end. Also I use Loc-tite super glue gel for tips...

How do you guy's burnish tips? I wet the tip and then touch it with 2000 grit sandpaper, seems to work well on layered tips but doesn't work well on Lepros that have been trimmed. I'm looking for that dark brown look and can't get it......any help would be appreciated

I'm wondering how people face their ferrules with a lathe, I currently use a cue top sander and then replace the tip on my lathe but there must be an easier way. I have a Unique Products lathe and was told that I can use my cutter to face with but don't know if this is true, I know I can try it...

Meucci Hey, I've had a black-dot shaft for over a year now and it was dead straight when I got it and is still as straight, I heard alot of bad things about Meucci but have not witnessed anything first hand, on a side note though, I now shoot with a Predator 314

mine The tip is not phenolic, however I don't know what it is, I have not had any problem with the knob falling out either, you should get a Maximizer for it it will dampen the vibration......JMO......Al

What about the Q-smooth burnishing film, it's just like the sandpaper I use, I will get a magic eraser tomorrow but am I hurting the shaft and ferrule by sanding it, also am I better to put a coat of Q wax on the shaft or use Slipstick or Q-glide with no wax?
