    Best player in Alabama?

Guys, I can tell you this guy was a straight shooter when he played all the time. He played run out pool and you couldn't miss any balls. So, I do have to add, I would have driven 500 miles to play him a 500 set back in the day and he knows it.

    Best player in Alabama?

I know this is a old thread, but I just want to give my opinion on the the best gamblers in Alabama. When I started back playing, no one, and I mean no one gambled as good as Harold in Tuscaloosa. I remember the first time I played him, he was spotting me playing one pocket, which I didn't play...

    Centerball...haters gonna hate

Good answer. The fact is you will use what is needed to get on the next ball. No one plays good enough to hit only center ball.

    Danny Smith One Pocket

    Darren Appleton vs. Danny Smith

I know many don't know it, but when it comes to a all around, playing 1 hole, banks and 10 ball, there are a few American's that would be a favorite over almost any European.

    Darren Appleton vs. Danny Smith

What is the perfect age for a new poolplayer?

The best players at 15 I know of, was, Jimmy Wells, Keith M, Johnny A, Shannon D. and I think his name was Tony Crosby. All these players started at a very young age. Some of these were beating top players at this age.

    King of Texas?

I noticed a thread about az members matching up and was wondering if you would like to play this old man some? I mean, I concede the talking game you have, but can you play any?

Justin Bergman vs Skyler Woodward. Who is the stronger all around player?

I like Justin on the big table in every game, with bank being Sky's best chance. To also be fair to Sky, that video was in 2012 and he has improved the 7 since then. On the bar box, I still like Justin.

AZB'ers perception of skill "yardstick": bar table vs. 9-footer

People who can play the big table, can most likely play on a bar box also. People who play mostly on a bar box will have a tough time on a 9 footer. Much easier to go from big to smaller. With that said, I sure don't agree that its just a coin flip with most on a bar box. I will say, just like...

Are stiff shafts harder to draw the ball with?

Having a good stroke and tip is the major factor. I was having trouble power drawing the ball with a new kamui and picked up a predator break cue to see if it was by stroke and drew the ball without a problem. Found out I had a bootleg kamui. I don't think someone like Nevel, would have a...

Was This the Best Final Ever?

Didn't Billy Johnson win the lag and run the set out it the finals of a big tournament once? I think against Buddy or Siegel. I think it was a race to 13.

The Mount Rushmore of Pool - who would you put on?

Buddy Hall would go years without anyone stepping up to play him some. He was also the only one to beat Efren when he beat all the other American players when he made his arrival here.. Buddy is one of the best players to ever play the game! In their prime, Allen. Mike, Earl, Varner, Wiley...

    Justin Hall

Yea, I left after a couple of hours, came back the next day and Ricky ended up 16 games down. I had part of his action. Said he had never seen anyone make the banks Justin did. This was when I knew he was a great banker, not just a rotation and one hole player. Hall and Bergman have both...
