Justin Hall

I had never seen Justin play before, so at 6-1 I left and took the family to dinner, sucks for me. Congrats to Justin, awesome win.
To those of you that have seen him play before and Mocconi Cup speculators, remember, the MC races are much shorter than this, I'm not asking to make a ruckus or to be an ass or anything like that, I'm asking because I don't know, but, It doesn't usually take him 6 or 7 games to get going, does it? If that had been an MC match we'd be talking about how he got drilled. Have you guys seen him flip that switch much earlier than this? Sounds like once he got going he was unstoppable.

He was up on Alex 10-2 and he beat Sossei 11-3. If that's not strong enough for you, you must be King fking Kong.

Don't forget Darrel Peach 11-7, Nick Van Den Berg 11-7,
He was up an average of 4-5 games in every match except for the boyes match. He beat 3 Proven Champions and one determined Sossei. He won the race to 5 format against all but boyes. What a terrible statistic.

Shane will only play Scott with a ball and Hall wants to play even.

I am sorry, but if you think Shane is being serious about actually wanting/needing a ball from Scott Frost, you are out of tune with the pro scene and the history between the two.

Scott beat Shane this way a few years ago, and since then, Shane plays AT LEAST two balls better.

Shane would beat Scott even now, and if Scott gave Shane a ball, Shane would horsef#ck him for days.

Shane knows that Scott would probably not play him now, so Shane continues the "needing a ball" joke just to amuse himself.

In much the same matter I keep up the "C Player" joke..

Short Bus Russ - C Player

I've been here at the US Open all week and I hadn't seen Justin play until the match with Karl Boyes. I'd been seeing his name on the flow chart moving through the field and since I'd never seen him play I wondered who he was. Well in the match with Karl on the TV table I found out. He can play and I can't see how he can control the cue ball so well on the break with such a long bridge, but he usually parks whitey in the center of the table after delivering a powerful head on break! I thought the match was over when he fell behind 6-1, but he fought back. He would have won the match earlier if he hadn't hung up a couple of 8 balls after making nice run outs which turned into gifts for Boyes. Justin overcame that and still won the match!

Was it when we came to play Ricky Peppers..lol

Yea, I left after a couple of hours, came back the next day and Ricky ended up 16 games down. I had part of his action. Said he had never seen anyone make the banks Justin did. This was when I knew he was a great banker, not just a rotation and one hole player. Hall and Bergman have both impressed me more than any of the young players I've seen. I played Bergman a few months ago and the kid never missed a ball.

Well, like I said, I'd never seen him play before.
So you seem to know - is he a quick starter typically?

I'm seen some of your other posts and you seem like a good guy, so I don't know where you're going with this, but with that logic, Mike Deshaine must be a slow starter because I believe Justin was up 6-2 in that match. :scratchhead:

Like Scotty said, I think the Boyes match was the only match he wouldn't have won in a short race.

I guess I could have just said "yes, he is typically a quick starter".:wave2:
