150 BALLS RUN Irving Crane vs Joseph Balsis 1966

It was like a curve double carom combination with the cueball

Do you want to learn more about your stroke?

Here is my analysis. I am definitely impressed by how much detail he gives. He confirmed what I already knew being my biggest problem, which is my stroking arm is not straight. Honestly, how far my shaft goes to the left after contact, it is amazing I can make a ball. Laugh. I have tried...

    Rail break shots

Yes, just looks like a lot of angle. Not easy. Filler considered that as well. I have watched Filler quite a bit and also based on his comment, I believe he would hit pretty firm. I tried recreating this and had good fortune hit that way the 3 times I tried hit pretty firm

    Rail break shots

Ok, fine, in case anyone wants to actually look at the shot. It is at the 1:34 point. 1 hour 34 minutes. The American turned into the International. Anyway, here you go. This is the actual situation. How do you play this? See screenshot.

    Rail break shots

I was watching a video of Souquet and Lechner (2021 International) and Josh Filler was giving commentary. Max cut a ball in the corner and went into the side of the pack and he got stuck. Joshua said he would have used draw as that adds follow coming off the rail. Just got me thinking. This...

2025 AZ Billiards Straight Pool Challenge!

Not bad. I like that you don't try to kill break balls. You should get 50 soon. Took me about a month once I picked up the game again. From what I could see, 5 ball seemed a mistake as a break ball. Shot a better break ball earlier. 9 led good to 5 but high break ball and shooting on the...

2025 AZ Billiards Straight Pool Challenge!

53 Ball Run yesterday. I really misjudged that last shot I made and almost scratched. I guess I didn't hit low enough? I intentionally didn't draw, but thought the carom would take it to the side rail.

Reno Sands Regency & US Open Tables Question

Read that. I played at the Sands one year and they were Rebcos. Weird tables. Cut of pockets big pocket if you hit rail 1st

150 BALLS RUN Irving Crane vs Joseph Balsis 1966

This shot really doesn't look that hard and not hard to find I would say for people who have played enough straight pool. I will say it is very cool when I make a shot back to the corner I am standing in, by some chain reaction, or kick combination. I have a shot like this I made in one of my...

2025 AZ Billiards Straight Pool Challenge!

73 Ball Run. Working on being smoother in my final backswing. For me at least, that leads to stopping or pausing at least on the backswing, so my eyes can go back to the object ball. How do you think I am doing? My fundamentals have never been great, but trying to work on what I think I can...

2025 AZ Billiards Straight Pool Challenge!

Nothing special here. Just a 43 ball run, but I did it after the leather pockets were installed, so that is different. I like it. Much smoother. Hangs over, but more importantly the cue glides over the pocket. Made my shots using the pocket as a bridge.
