I carry 6 cues in my case. I just started using a KW shaft last October. It happens to only fit one of my cues (radial pin).
The other 5 cues are 2 different big pins. I just borrowed a KW shaft that will fit 3 of my other 5 cues. You can definitely tell the difference in the 3 cues using the...
I’ve expressed this view before so I’ll cut right to the chase. If you have a maple shaft you really like,
then have a Kielwood shaft made, or find one, but make sure it has the very same specs as the shaft
you like so much. Now that may be difficult based on my experience so far but I think I...
Whether you rack or I rack, it is done the same way. Additionally, templates make it easier and consistent.
A one way lag does nothing to improve which player wins opening break or how it evens the playing field.
Because it is not a typical stroke you’d normally use in the game of pool to pocket a ball aside from day a safety shot.
So why start using a stroke you might not have used, and may never use, except for that the lag start of a match? Oh,
because players are having too great a challenge to send...
It is an ill conceived alternative……it is like pitching pennies so closest to foot rail wins……pool balls are meant to be hit into rails…..intended or accidental……a one way lag contest is just awful. How mandatory switching hands every other shot?
Outing this guy is always allowed if and when someone violates the Forum rues.
I already do it publicly and also by PM to the Mods, as well as the offending party.
The Mods only have so much time available and there is more to doing that job than
looking for bad threads. And how often should...
I think you are right…..maybe overzealousness, poor computer connection that was slow so he tried several times or he could be a jerk. Regardless, he should ask the Mods to clean up his mess and he should have already done that by now.
The main forum is for anything pool related so this thread more than meets that requirement. The seller may not get as many prospective buyers to view this thread in this Forum versus the For Sale Section where most people browse for cues for sale. So he may not get the viewings he’d otherwise...
My favorite expression after leaving myself hooked right after pocketing a really difficult shot is……OK, now what?
Seems appropriate because usually by that point, I’m starting to talk to myself during the match but at least quietly.
Not sure how to answer you since words have different meanings and connotations to different people.
When I think of slick, I racall different products I tried over the years like Q- Slick which was awful, in
addition to others I’ve tried like Longini, etc. All of them were crap and the shaft...
My stepdad told, taught and preached to me when I was a smart ass teenager one golden rule in pool.
It had nothing to do with how to play a shot or strategy and it didn’t even involve using a pool cue either.
CONDUCT……BEHAVIOR…….MATURITY……..DECENCY…….he taught me always win with grace and
lose...
I periodically apply a light coat of Renaissance Wax to my cue shafts after wiping the shafts with a damp cloth or a cloth towel moistened with rubbing alcohol. The wax really leaves a glossy smooth finish that creates a coating. It seals the wood pores opened by cleaning the shaft. It is...
If the British Museum and restoration specialists internationally use Renaissance Wax to revive and protect furniture,
art frames, ivory, etc., it should be ideally suited for use on pool cues, much more so than other commercial products.
