I'm getting ready to try a soft tip on one shaft and a medium on another. Did you put you Bulletproof tip on yourself or did someone else install it for you? Just wondering if I should use the same rpms, blades, procedure as a leather top. Thanks

Where do Ya'll get your Makita 1 1/8th model belt sander belts from and what grit? The belts from the last batch I got seperated in lest than a minute of light use. They were new, but a few years old. Maybe that contributed to the premature failure, BUT just to be on the safe side, I am asking...

At the bottm of this General forum you will see a button that says "1 of 3471" (total number may have changed) Just touch where it states "1 of 3471" and a box will appear that lets you navigate to any page number in the forum.

I guess I should have asked can the ferrule on the shaft which I have with the 13 mm ferrule be changed out to a 12 mm ferrule without any work being done to the shaft itself. As I said, I will order another shaft before I would have work done on the shaft that has the 13 mm ferrule on it. SO...
