thermoset material there are a lot of ferrules out there that will do what your did with heat and that is because they are made of a thermoset material. meaning that when it is made it is mold injected and cooled quickly......yes, some is rolled and not mold injected and some are not...

I have used it for a few years and it has done exactly what Sherm said it would do over a year past now. It is great for a lot of other uses but not for the joint or the butt cap of the cues.......I ahve already had a few come back more than once with the grain cracked length wise, I replace it...

My 2 cents The only thing I would like to add in the dimensions area are teh sanding Mandrels that most of us are using. I have a set for finishing the cue and a set for non finish. This way every cue that goes out the door is the same at the joint. I also like the idea of having the same...
