Thanks for your post, this is what I was asking about. I didn't know that there were banned substances in the World Pool Association or any pool organization for that matter. Is drug testing common at these or other tournaments? Also, what other prescription medication is banned?

I think some of you miss understood this post. I'm not picking up a drug habit to play better. I was just curious to know if it was ever done to improve your performance. I wasn't really referring to hardcore drugs like pot, coke, crank, speed, meth, etc. those are all pretty much only good...

I'm wondering if you could shoot better under the influence of drugs. Lots of people claim they shoot better after consuming alcohol. But what about drugs like Adderall that increase concentration and decreases fatigue. Or Anti Anxiety meds that calm your nerves when there's a lot on the line...

What about women players? Straight Pool was Jeanette Lee's game. Alison Fisher has got to be capable of running 200. I'd bet Jasmin Ouschan has done it or can do it too.

If you want to read a good pool book get "The Hustler" by Walter Tevis. There's a reason they made a movie out of it. Personally I don't care for the movie, the book is that much better. Its the best pool book I've ever read, and I've read a lot of em.
