Good Guys Don't Always Wear White: SVB's Ghost Edition by Cuetec

Cuetec should come out with a Chuck Norris edition cue and call it "Silent Rage".

    Alex pinches Archers nipple.

This was a funny moment when Alex walks up to Archer after his 2nd place finish. It was a great match between Archer and Rodney. Funny guest commentary by Alex as he makes crazy comments and just sounds drunk. Just look at the size of that beer mug in his hand. Enjoy the video and caption...

    Best poolroom in Austin?

This list was updated in 2018. Looks like only one snooker table at the Warehouse. San Antonio may have more. https://www.findsnooker.com/Texas.html

    Best poolroom in Austin?

Although Skinny Bob's is in Round Rock, it is the best pool room in the Austin area. Having said that, they allow indoor smoking. The air cleaners do a good job, but the smell is noticeable. All the top players go there. 9-ball tournaments on Fri, Sat nights at 7:30. Also Sun at 2:30...

    What Shafts Draw better ???

Check the cue ball. If it's spinning like crazy, it's probably smaller than the object balls. Some shafts may seem like they can draw a lot compared to other shafts. But the truth is in the tip size and profile. Tip hardness is also a big factor.

Review on the cuetec cynergy 11.8mm shaft

I just recently bought the cynergy 11.8mm for my McDermott. This shaft plays better than all the shafts I have been experimenting with. I was able to demo several shafts at my local Billiard Factory store. A close 2nd was the cynergy 12.5. These two shafts gave me the best feel and feedback...

    47th Annual Texas Open Updates

I just heard that one of Skinny Bob's staff just tested positive for COVID-19. Please alert anyone you know that attended the tournament. This is sad new and I just hope there are no new cases. Y'all be safe and wear a mask. Here is their announcement: "We had an employee test positive today...

    47th Annual Texas Open Updates

Congrats to my friend Ernesto. He's the oldest player in the field and finished 7/8, only losing to SVB and Billy. He was there all week making the tables level and marking the spots. He also fabricated and installed all the new cue holders around the entire place. He's a hard worker and a...

    pre-shot routine

Work in progress...always. I watch and learn from matches on youtube and also instructional videos. I take away from them what I like and try to make it work. I also learned a lot from Randy G's pool school back in 2007. I play golf as well and I also work on my pre-shot routine. Both sports...

Nearest to farthest -- how bad is it?

That's a great system that I have used in practice many times. After a while you don't really think about the numbers. The book, balls and aiming discs and DVD are all high quality and can last a lifetime if taken care of. Joe Tucker is a great teacher.
