I have McDermott Carom cue model CRMS06 that hits soft and the sound it makes is not solid. Was thinking the tenon/ferrule connection is not good so I turned it down to replace with a different ferrule. As I turn the ferrule down I realized that it’s a one piece ferrule tapped into the shaft...
It’s actually 11.4 mm. The guy uses it to play 3 cushion carom and ask if I can repair. I told him I’ll see what I can do. Aesthetically I can make it look good. Just the split in the laminate I’m unsure. I think titebond in between the laminate and some rubber band may work.
