Yes, the pool halls are closing in the Philippines. This is my first winter in Michigan in 9 years and I do hate it. I'm going to a pool hall 2 to 3 times a week trying to get all the practice I can. I hope to become a good player again. I still love to play.

I also hate to see old pool halls close. I was never there but It sounds like a cool place. Such a shame. I hoped that someone would come out with a good movie with lots of pool in it nut not likely to happen. After all these years I still love to play.

New bar boxes are 7'. Older bar boxes are 6'. I haven't seen many new bar boxes around but have played on a few and I liked them. There is a huge jump from a 6' table to a 9' table. A little bit less from 7' to 9' but still a big jump. I play my best pool on a 6' bar box. It's just easier...

Actually my biggest mistake was my first wife. My second wife is a fantastic lady and I couldn't be happier. You are right about the Balabushka cue. I thought about that after my Rambow post. Shot well my friend.

In my opinion nothing will help your pool game more than playing 14.1 straight pool. It's been my favorite game for many years. You will be amazed at how quickly your game will improve and other players will be happy to help you out. Go for it my friend. Good luck.
