My uninformed opinion. I doubt it. You get the rail cloth with the bed cloth. Don't you? Its a pain but worth it. Whats the going rate for a pro to re-cloth rails?

Cool video Dartman. I assumed the top spot was the head. I hand tested the bed cloth and the grain seemed to go to the other end. Towards the bolt on the video. So I assumed all the rails did too. oh well, does it even matter on the rails? You can tell that guy has done it a few times. :D

ouch. Did level change after you installed the rails or just settling? I know how sensitive it is just by tightening or loosening the slate frame screws. Thanks for the tip. Good luck.

I agree. That's a nice table the way it sits. Stripping all that paint is a ton of work. Way more than the installation itself. imho, keep the skirts too. They ALL came with em. even the rosewood and brown poo stained like mine. It doesn't look odd at all with them. :thumbup: One question...

I guess it would depend on what size facings you currently have if it would be worth it. Mine were standard 1/8th inch. That gave me an 1/8 less on each side of the pocket for a total 1/4 less in the pocket. If you already have 3/16th, it may not be worth your trouble. jmho. I'd still like to...

I don't know how it will play with 1/4 facings yet. I'm still working on it. It's why the pros get paid good money. Time is money. lol. Maybe they will chime in. My skins thick. Most everything I've read only says don't double up the facing. I'm not sure if you could re-use your existing rail...
