    So then blanks is what you would make on a lathe. I guess people buy the blanks and add decorations, and then a shaft? Is that right?

    I have recently acquired an old, very well-made wood lathe. (Shopsmith) I thought about tinkering around with making cues, and after looking through this collection I am a bit curious as to what exactly a "blank" is? Sorry for the obviously novice question...

    Looking for info on a 70's Palmer cue

    I am uploading several cell phone photos in hopes someone may be able to offer a bit more info on my cue. It is a Palmer, bought for $75 back in 1977 at a billiards shop in New Orleans, and it is rather plain, with linen wrap. Any info is much appreciated.
