Single layer tip in between an Elkmaster and Triangle or Lepro?

I probably should of said, that has only been in the last couple years, the quality seems to have gotten better. Before that, like you i didn't think much of them. You still have go through a few, before you will find a nice one. Triangles, are much softer. in my opinion. Again i will go...

Single layer tip in between an Elkmaster and Triangle or Lepro?

I don't go near elkmasters, they, just take too long. To play in. Very soft tip. There ok when there pressed. Pressed triangles are your best bet. or if your lucky you might get a nice one, straight out of the box. Le pros, are more on the harder side. in my experience, a bit more consistent...

"Lock and load" the shoulder to control movement?

This has been my experience too, you change things all you want, under pressure, things tend too unravel Very fast. It takes months of work to change something like that, and to make it feel natural. If your stance and set up is solid, then its just the mechanics of your swing, sometimes trying...

What do you think would happen if there were no handicaps, in any leagues or tournaments, and all tournaments were Open to all skill levels?

This is what pool is like in the UK, much like you describe. If your not good enough you don't win. Its that simple. Aspiring to be better, learning from the best players. Its what its about.

Feedback on My Stroke & Mechanics – Looking to Improve Fundamentals

I like the updated video. Your definitely hitting the ball better. Just keep working hard with the practicing. As far as the grip, what ever feels natural to you. I wouldn't mess with it too much, as i said before, this would have been better off, in the ask the instructors category. I know some...

A hard tip but not too hard?

I am too at the moment, My last one had kielwood. I didn't think it was all that. yours might be great! Different sound and much stiffer, than any i have used before. Gone with stranded one this time. And your right, the taper is so important. Long pro taper with 12.65 at the tip. One thing i...

A hard tip but not too hard?

since i failed awhile back to find a decent triangle, all 4 i tried were rubbish. But the other day, i got lucky. I had a couple left.and picked a good one. The right color, not too soft, not too hard. I never tried them pressed. How do they play? Do they last?

    1990s 9-ball McCready vs. Paez

Great post, i feel the same way, it really doesn't matter. if your confident in your equipment. It's nice to still see some, that don't feel the need to change from wood. (A good sponsor also helps here too) Regardless of the era of pool, or the equipment. I would like to think, that any of the...

Things to consider for those forum members buying their first pool cue

At the end of the day, unless you can request what tip you want, its probably going to be a medium or hard you end up with. Forget about it, and play pool🙂
